Growth Basics For Business, Video replay of Sept. 20, 8-9 AM, Virtual Workshop is available.

Does You Business Have An Energy Strategy?

How to save money, strengthen your business, and eliminate emissions from fossil fuels.

While companies that waste energy and burn fossil fuel suffer high and unpredictable operating costs, businesses that efficiently harness renewable power enjoy a sustainable competitive advantage. Add that to our State’s and our communities’ concerns about reducing emissions from fossil fuel and it only makes good sense for every business, small or large, to have a practical, cost-effective energy strategy. Fred Horch, volunteer project manager of the business-led, nonprofit initiative: ‘On the Pathway to 100% Clean Energy’, and Joe Walsh, Founder and President of Green Clean Maine, will lead this session. They will show you how to lower your costs with efficiency, phase out fossil fuel with electrification, and secure your energy supply with renewable power, with a focus on Maine's rebate programs and best practices.

At this workshop, you will:

·  Meet fellow Chamber-member business owners who are leading by example and helping other Maine business owners as they plan their transition to clean energy.

·  Learn a simple and straightforward approach to accounting for all your current uses of energy and calculate emissions from those uses.

·  Review broad methods and alternatives for optimizing and electrifying your business facilities and equipment, as well as what's available and on the horizon for renewable fuels and energy sources.

·  Learn practical and realistic approaches, from your peers, to creating your company's energy strategy, and build a step-by-step clean energy plan.

·  Get an introduction to working with an easy-to-use planning tool for creating your business's plan to transition to clean energy, over time, in a way that meets your needs and available resources.

·  Find additional resources and qualified assistance in the areas of planning, equipment purchases and installation, and financing for energy improvements.
